He bagged 67% of the total votes cast at the Democratic Caucus Colorado-February 5 compared to Clinton's tally of 32%. With 99% of the precincts reporting, Obama received favorable ballots from 79,344 voters while Clinton received only 38,587 votes. A total of 1,253 people remained uncommitted. Only the registered Democratic voters can vote in this election.
With this thumping victory, Obama became the Projected Winner from this state, garnering the support of 13 delegates in the process. Clinton, on the other hand got the backing of 6 delegates from Colorado. Obama, who hails from the nearby state of Illinois, was expected to win here.
