Stanley Hetz is a possible candidate to contest in the 2008 US Presidential Election on the ticket of the Socialist Party. Earlier in 2006, Stanley Hetz was nominated by the Socialist Party to contest the United States Senate in Pennsylvania. He believes in the emergence of a Socialist society for a better livelihood of the general citizens of US. According to him, a Socialist society comprises the broad middle class in which every single citizen enjoys the right to lead a comfortable life. He campaigns for the expansion of worker rights and civil liberties.
The issues that
Stanley Hetz has decided to campaign include:
- The laws that curb the right of the Americans to freedom of speech should be declared invalid.
- The Universal Social Security system should replace the incumbent Social Security system enabling every US citizen to earn a basic minimum income.
- The rights of workers need to be improved by making changes in Labor laws.
The Socialist Party demands for the minimum wage of 15 dollars every hour. They also call for the work of 30 hours per week at no loss of payment. They also demand of annual paid vacation for 6 weeks for every worker. They also call for the right of retirement age at 55; the retired workers should be paid 25,000 dollars (tax free).
Stanley Hetz, 2008 Presidential Candidate hopes to get many votes from the working class of US in the US Presidential Election.
