Evan Gelobter is expected to contest in the 2008 US Presidential Election on the ticket of Socialist Party. He is based at Louisiana in the United States of America. Professionally, Evan Gelobter is a fire fighter. He campaigns for the structure of socialism as the only way to make the lives of US citizens better. He also opposes the invasion of Iraq by US and calls for the withdrawal of all US personnel from Iraq. He demands for the curtail in Military expenditures in the US budget. According to him, the government of US should instead, spend more to meet the basic necessities like health, food for all US citizens.

According to this system, a progressive system of taxation should emerge. The revenues derived from that taxation system should be used to extend the National Health Program. The program is due to be operated by health care workers and patients. These health care workers should be democratically elected. The wealth derived from the income tax will help in paying the doctors and health care workers. The National Health Program, according to Evan Gelobter, will provide dental, vision, mental health and every alternative medical coverage.
