Eric Chester


Eric Chester is expected to contest in the 2008 US Presidential Election as a candidate of Socialist Party. He is a very senior member of Socialist Party and has won many accolades in his political career. He is a multi-faceted person, who has displayed his excellence as a writer, professor of Economics, socialist political activist. He was born on 6th August, 1943 in New York. Currently Eric Chester is based at Montague, Massachusetts. He comes from a family, which has always opposed fascism and Nazism. In as early as 1960s, Eric Chester, 2008 Presidential Candidate was involved in civil rights movement. He has always preached for a Democratic society and he has joined unions in educational institutions, industries. For nearly 25 years, he worked as a member of Industrial Workers of the World.

In his campaigns for US Presidential Election, Eric Chester plans to raise his voice against the US invasion in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran. He calls for the withdrawal of US troops from these countries. He also opposes the current US economic policy, which makes a huge expenditure on military budget. He calls for the reduction of the military budget by 50% and make use of that money in education, health-care and many other social causes.

Eric Chester raises his voice for the causes of lesbians, gays and the trans-gendered. He demands for the marriage right of the same sex couples.
