Prohibition Party



Prohibition Party is the oldest third Party in US. It has been strong in US politics since the 19th century. The Prohibition Party has nominated two candidates to run for the honorable position of US President in 2008 Presidential Election. The majority of the Prohibition Party members has elected Gene Amondson while a faction of the Party has selected Earl Dodge. These decisions were taken in the Party national convention on 14th September, 2007.

The Prohibition Party has always preached the anti-alcoholism. They have always been a propagandist in temperance movement. Few of the moral issues, that this Party advocates include:
  • The commercial sale of alcohol and harmful drugs should be banned
  • The commercial gambling should be abolished
  • The commercial pornography should be banned
  • The Homosexual agenda should not be encouraged
  • The Right to Life should be encouraged
  • The Bible Reading should be made mandatory in the Public Schools
The Prohibition Party raises its voice on several domestic issues. These issues include the tax reformation, Ballot Law reformation, judicial reformation, finance reformation, upholding the Genuine Constitutional rights, restoration of State and Local rights. They also campaign strongly against judicial activism. They call for local control of schools, balanced Federal budget.

The Prohibition Party also addresses foreign issues. They are in favor of US sovereignty. They are also concerned about International Trade Agreements, the role of the United Nations.
