Cynthia McKinney



Cynthia McKinney, also known as Cynthia Ann McKinney, was born on 17th of March in the year 1955. She is a successful politician of America from Georgia. Cynthia McKinney served in the House of Representatives in US for ten years from 1993 to 2003 as a Democrat. She also represented the fourth congressional district of Georgia for three years from 2005 to 2007.

After losing her Congressional seat in 2006 Democratic primary for the second time she decided to quit the Democratic Party. On 22nd October, 2007 she submitted paperwork with the FEC for the Green Party presidential campaign.

The political career of Cynthia McKinney Presidential candidate began in 1986 as a write-in candidate for the Georgia state house. Her remarkable role in the field of politics made her one of the most potential candidates among Green Party in US 2008 Presidential Election.

The members of the Green Party made an attempt to elect Cynthia Ann McKinney both in 2000 and 2004 elections. In 2004 elections she fought for the post of president in the Green Party ballot. McKinney also took part in the Green Party National Meeting in Pennsylvania where she suggested the party members to take Green Party to a new height to make it a progressive political force.
