The major election activities have started since January 28, 2008, the filing deadline for West Virginia major parties. The Florida Presidential Primary elections were held on January 30,2008, while January 31, 2008, was the CD-1 & CD-6 Special Election Filing Deadline for Louisiana. Presidential Primary elections were conducted on February 5, 2008, in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, and some other locations. Presidential Caucuses elections were also conducted on the same day in Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, and some other locations. August 5, 2008, is the date planned for State/ Federal Primary elections in Kansas, Michigan, and Missouri. November 4, 2008, is the date scheduled for General Elections in all 50 states of the USA, while the new Congress will be Sworn-In on January 5, 2009. January 20, 2009 is decided for the Presidential Inauguration Day.
