John Edwards has a successful political career as the loyal member of the Democratic Party of United states of America. An established and renowned attorney by profession, his rise to American political scene is natural, involving not much hassle and endeavor.
Senator Johnny Reid Edwards was born on 10th of June 1953 at Seneca in South Carolina. After having school education from Robbins in North Carolina, he got his B.S. / B.A. degree from the North Carolina State University in 1974. His urge for academic qualification and knowledge was yet not satiated. He then proceeded to the University of North Carolina to attain the degree of J.D. It was only after the completion of studies that John Edward chose politics to be the stepping stone of his professional career. Prior to joining politics, he worked as worker in local textile mill. Later, he also served as a successful American attorney for a couple of time, in partnership with Edwards & Kirby, Raleigh, N.C.
In 1998, John Edwards was elected to the U.S. Senate, where he served from 3rd January 1999 till 3rd January 2005. However, after the completion of his tenure as US Senator, he had no further intentions of extending it, so did not attempt to participate in the next Senate election. More or less, this event can be regarded as the termination of the successful political career of the Democrat John Edwards. However, he was nominated by the Democratic Party for the 2004 US Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections. In fact, he has plans to contest the 2008 Presidential Election as well. In reality, the political career of Senator John Edwards for president may be of shorter duration, but interesting, diverse and eventful, in context of contemporary American politics.
