The major US parties namely Democratic Party and Republican Party have not yet announced their
New Jersey candidates for the 2008 US Presidential Election. The Libertarian Party has finalized its decision to nominate Robert Milnes as its candidate. The other New Jersey candidates running for the
New Jersey Elections include Charles Maxham, Jonathan Sharkey.
The candidates in run for the post of US President from the state of New Jersey include:
- Robert Milnes – He is a noted progressive activist. He hopes to form a 'progressive alliance' with the Green Party to maximize his chances to win the US Presidential Election.
- Charles Maxham – An independent candidate, Maxham has many issues to address in the 2008 US Presidential Election. He feels the urgency of protecting the American jobs for the US people. If elected as the US President, he assures of securing the US borders. He also demands for the creation of the National Health Care and Insurance Program in US. He emphasizes on the emergency of Federal funding in US schools for imparting maximum education among the US students.
- Jonathan Sharkey – He is contesting the Election as an independent candidate. He is a self-confessed pagan, although he does not support the influence of religion in politics.
The last day for registration of unregistered voters in New Jersey is 29 days before the actual election on 4th November 2008.
