- Ole Saviour – He is contesting for the 2008 US Presidential Elections from Minnesota on the Democratic Party ticket. He was born in Minneapolis in the year 1949. Ole Saviour contested for the Governor's position from Minnesota in 1998, 2002 and 2006. He was also a candidate in the last US Presidential Election in 2004. He even contested in the United States Elections of 1984, 1996 and 2000. He was a member of the United States House of Representatives in 1988. Professionally, he is a writer and a painter.
- Jack Shepard – He is the announced candidate on the Republican ticket. He was born in 1946 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he continues to live. This Christian candidate contested for the United States House of Representatives, District 4, Minnesota in 2006. He was also a contender for the United States Senate, Minnesota in 2002 and for the Congress in 2004 and 2006.
- Ben Thompson – Ben Thompson is one of the independent candidates contesting in the 2008 Presidential Elections from Minnesota, USA. He was the National Chairman of the Independent American Party.
- Michael Tienken – He was one of the potential candidates to run independently for the US Presidential election 2008. But unfortunately, he backed out from the Elections and has planned to backup Mitt Romney for the post.
