Georgia Elections for US president from the state are:
- Bob Barr: A Libertarian, he is a potential candidate from Georgia for contesting in the Presidential Elections, 2008. Bob Barr was born on 5th of November 1948. He has been an US Attorney from 1978 to 1986 and was again elected for the same post from the year 1991 to 1994. He was also the United States Attorney for Northern district of Georgia from 1986 to 1990. From 1994 to 2002, he has served as an active member in the House of Representatives. He is a champion of civil rights, although many of his stances on social issues have a clearly conservative slant.
- Elaine Brown belongs to the Green Party. With a history of active social activism, she has been an avid spokesperson for prison rights and Black women's rights. She is a potential candidate for the position of the US President from Georgia.
- Claire Elisabeth Fields Cruise: Cruise is an independent contender for the post, and is closely associated with the cause of women's rights. She has been the President and the founder of the Department of Empowerment from 2001 and is still in the same position.
- John Joseph Kennedy: He was another contender for the post of the US Presidential Election, 2008 for the Democratic Party. However, he has withdrawn from the Presidential run on being denied an appearance on the televised debates of the Democratic Party in June, 2007. He also stood as the presidential candidate in the United States of America in the year 2004.
- Raymond Louis McKinney: A Republican nominee, he has announced his candidature from the state of Georgia.
