Zoological Garden Zurich is situated on the hill, Zürichberg, located on the eastern fringe of the city. It is often credited as one of the best zoos in the continent with its huge collection of mammals, predators, aves, arboreal and aquatic animals.

The zoo was inaugurated in the year 1929 and spreads over a sprawling area of 10 hectares. Zoological Garden at Zurich remains open from 9 A.M to 6 P.M between the months of March and October. The timings change to 9 A.M to 5 P.M between the months of November and February.
