Schmetterlingshaus, which houses the most exquisite collection of butterflies, is located near Hofburg Palace in Burggarten Park in Vienna. Being situated at the heart of the city at about 150 yards from the opera building, traveling to the park is quite convenient.
Due to the varieties of butterflies, which are found in Schmetterlingshaus in Vienna, it is also known as the Butterfly House. From April to October, Schmetterlingshaus is open from Monday to Friday between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm while on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays it is open from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. From November to March the park is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on all days.
