Tivoli- Neu Stadion is located in Innsbruck in Austria. Tivoli- Neu Stadion was built in the year 2000. The stadium hosts different kinds of events though it primarily hosts football matches. This stadium serves as the home ground of FC Wacker Tirol.
The stadium initially had a capacity to hold up to 17,400 people. The seating capacity has been enhanced to 30,000 in the year 2007. This was done to meet the requirements of hosting European Football Championship matches. This football extravaganza will commence on June 10 and will continue till June 18. This stadium is the replacement for the original Tivoli stadium.
The stadium hosted the friendly match between Austria and Ivory Coast which, Austria won with 3-2. This was the first match hosted by the stadium. The stadium offered shuttle bus service to all the ticket holders. This initiative on the part of the stadium authorities was a success, as there was less traffic around the stadium.
On 10th of June, Tivoli- Neu Stadion will stage the first of the three Group D matches it is scheduled to host. Spain will face Russia in that match, which will be followed by the match between Sweden and Spain on the 14th of June. The match between Russia and Sweden will be played on 18th June in this stadium.
