Mozarts Geburtshaus of Salzburg is the place where Mozart was born in January 1756. Mozart's family lived in this house from 1747 to 1773. This great musical artiste spent almost the whole of his first 20 years in this house at Getreidegasse, Salzburg. The museum exhibits Mozart's first violin, which he started play-ing at a tender age of 5. Mozart's birthplace also houses his concert violin, hammer-piano, clavichord along with some portraits and family letters. Mozart's home turned museum remains a witness to many of his im-mortal compositions including The Magic Flute and the Requiem.
