Among the Euro Cup 2004 Top Scorers, Milan Baros of Czech Republic is a prominent name who scored five times in the whole tournament. Wayne Rooney of England and Ruud van Nistelrooy of Holland scored four goals each. Baros started playing for his country from the very first game and scored in that match against Latvia. He also scored in the rest of the matches of the group league for Czech Republic.
Milan Baros proved to be an effective force for the Czech Republic team in the knock out stages of the Euro 2004. He scored a brace for his team against Denmark in the quarter finals. Czech Republic won the match and advanced to the semi finals of the tournament. However, Baros failed to make a mark in the match against Greece. It is because Czech Republic bowed out of the tournament after conceding an injury time goal in the second half of the extra time, seconds before the end the match. However, Baros ended as the Top Scorer in Euro Cup 2004.
