Benelucky, the
Euro Cup 2000 Mascot was created to stress on the unity and friendship of the two host countries, Netherlands and Belgium. Being the official Euro Cup 2000 Mascot, Benelucky carried immense importance.
The animated mascot was designed in the model of a lion like animal called Benelucky, found in the jungles of Belgium and Holland. The mascot flaunted a mane done with national colors of the two countries. Clad in soccer gears, Benelucky looked like a player all ready to rule the pitch.
The mascot - Benelucky had also a devil's tail and horns. It became very popular with the kids and football lovers. The name Benelucky was selected to wish best luck to all the participating countries in
Euro 2000.
