Euro Cup 1992 Venues

The nation to host the EURO 1992 was Sweden. There were four Euro Cup Venues held in the year 1992. Denmark was the winning squad of Euro Cup 1992. The four 1992 Euro Cup Venues were:



  • Rasundastadion at Solna
  • Nya Ullevi at Goteborg or Gothenburg
  • Idrottsparken at Norrkoping
  • Malmo Stadion at Malmo

    Rasundastadion or Rasunda stadium was one of the venues for EURO cup 1992. This football stadium is located at the Solna municipality which is included in Metropolitan Stockholm of Sweden. Rasunda stadium is the national football stadium of Sweden. The stadium has the capacity to house about 35,000 people during football matches.

    The stadium Nya Ullevi at Goterburg in Sweden was also the host to many of the matches that were played during EURO 1992. The stadium has the capacity to accommodate a maximum of 43,000 spectators.

    Idrottsparken stadium at Norrkoping hosted some of the matches played in Sweden during the EURO Cup 1992. This stadium is also used for various other purposes. The stadium is also the domicile ground for the clubs IK Sleipner and IFK Norrkoping of Sweden. The stadium can accommodate a maximum of 19,414 people.

    The Malmo Stadion at Malmo was another venue for the football matches played during EURO 1992. The stadium was constructed in the year 1958 and it can give place to 27,500 people. The Malmo stadium looks similar to that of the Nya Ullevi stadium, which is located at Gothenburg.

    The Group A matches of Euro Cup 1992 were played at Malmo stadium at Malmo and Rasunda stadium at Solna. The stadiums Idrottsparken at Norrkoping and Ullevi at Gothenburg were hosts to the Group B matches. The first semi final match between Sweden and Germany was played at Rasunda Stadium of Solna on 21st June. The second semi final match was played on 22nd June at Nya Ullevi at Gothenburg between Denmark and Netherlands. The final match of Euro Cup was played on 26th June at Ullevi stadium of Gothenburg between Germany and Denmark.
