1980 Euro Cup Venues

The 1980 Euro Cup Venues saw packed galleries in almost all the matches. The football crazy Italian population and fans from all over the continent swarmed the cities of Milan, Naples, Turin and Rome.

All the four cities staged group league matches in their respective stadiums. The stadiums where the games were held are:

  • Stadio Olimpico in Rome
  • Stadio Comunale in Turin
  • Giuseppe Meazza in Milan
  • Stadio San Paolo in Naples

The Stadio San Paolo of Naples was also the venue for the 3rd and 4th place play off. The stadium had a capacity of almost 73,000. Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan accommodated more than 85,500 people. Another venue for the group matches, Stadio Comunale of Turin had a capacity of 50,000.

The final was held in Rome's Stadio Olimpico, which at that time could accommodate 87,000 spectators.
