Played in the same format as the previous edition of the championships, the
Euro Cup 1976 Schedule was chalked out accordingly. Four teams participated in the final phase with a total of 4 matches being played – two semifinals, one 3rd position play off and the final. The championship kicked off on the 16th of June, 1976.
Euro Cup 1976 Schedule: The opening match was played between The Netherlands and Czechoslovakia on the 16th at Maksimir Stadium, Zagreb. The next day, West Germany faced Yugoslavia in Belgrade. The match was staged in Crevna Zvedza Stadium.
The 3rd and 4th play off match was also held in Belgrade on the 19th of the month. On the 20th of June, the city of Zagreb witnessed the final between the Czechs and the Germans.
