Euro Cup 1972 Winner was no other team but the indomitable West Germany of the 1970's. They defeated Soviet Union in the final by a score of 3–0. Two goals were scored by Muller and another one by Wimmer. In the semifinal, West Germany had beaten Belgium with a scoreline of 2–1.
