Two separate stadiums in Brussels held matches of Euro 1972. Stade Emile Verse was the venue for the semifinal match between Hungary and USSR, the final was held in Heysel Stadium of the city.
One of the opening matches of the championship was held at Bosuil Stadium of Antwerp. The match to ascertain the 3rd and 4th place was held in Sclessin Stadium, Liege.
The Heysel Stadium had the largest capacity of almost 50,000, while the Bosuil Stadium was the smallest one with a capacity of 20,000. Around 31,000 spectators could sit in the Sclessin Stadium and Stade Emile Verse had a capacity of 28,000
