The semi-finals of the Euro Cup 1960 were held on 6th of July, 1960. The first semifinal, involving France and Yugoslavia, was played at the Parc des Princes in Paris. Yugoslavia defeated the host nation to advance to the final. About 26,370 spectators were a part of the match. Parc des Princes was founded in 1897 and has been designed by Roger Tallibert. The second semi final was played at the Velodrome in Marseille. This match was played between Czechoslovakia and USSR and the latter emerged victorious. Velodrome was built in 1937 by the noted architect Henri Ploquin.
The third place play-off was played at Velodrome between Czechoslovakia and France whereby the former won the match. The final of the European Nations’ Cup 1960 was held at Parc des Princes. The final recorded an attendance of 17,966 people. USSR emerged triumphant in the final match.
