Johanneskirche

Johanneskirche is located in the heart of Innsbruck. It is a parish church, which was built in the first half of the 18th century by Anton Gumpp. In the year 1750 the entrance hall of Johanneskirche of Innsbruck was constructed. The church features a raised altar, which houses the statue of Saint Johann Nepomuk. The wooden statue of the saint is one of the masterpieces by Lechleitner. It is, in fact, one of the prized possessions of Johanneskirche at Innsbruck.

Johanneskirche of Innsbruck also features beautiful frescoes. The intricately drawn fresco of the church is a marvel to look at. The fresco was drawn by Josef Schopf and is known to attract many tourists from across the world. One can also come across two beautiful statues in the church, which were carved by Jenewein Lechleitner. It is these statues and frescoes that add to the popularity of this Innsbruck attraction.
