Sweden booked their place in the
Euro 2008 finals by becoming the runners of the Group F of the qualifying rounds. They finished two points behind group leaders Spain with 26 points from 12 matches. They remained unbeaten in their home matches with victories against Spain, Latvia, Liechtenstein and Iceland and draws against Northern Ireland and Denmark. They lost against Northern Ireland and Spain in their away matches and defeated all the other teams of the group.
Euro 2008, Sweden will play the first match of their Euro 2008 campaign against defending champions Greece on 10th June at the Wals Siezenheim Stadium at Salzburg. Their second match is against Spain at the Tivoli-Neu Stadion at Innsbruck. In their last match of the group stage, Sweden will be up against Russia on the 18th of June at Tivoli-Neu Stadion. The supporters of the Swedish side will be hoping for an excellent display of football from their favorite team.
