Spain Euro: Spain, one of the strongest football teams in the world, will participate in the
Euro Cup 2008, as one of the favorites for lifting the trophy.
Euro Spain will be playing in the Group D of the Euro 2008, to be held in Austria and Switzerland during the month of June and July. The Spain national football team will be trying their best to bring home their second Euro title, the first one after 1964, when they won the tournament in Spain itself. Some of the famous players of the
Euro Spain team include Raul, Iker Cassillas, Carles Puyol, Sergio Ramos and others. The team is easily recognizable by their red T shirts and black shorts.
Spain became the champions of Group F in the Euro Cup 2008 qualifiers to book a place in the final rounds of the UEFA Euro 2008. They remained unbeaten at home, winning all their matches. In their other matches, they lost to Northern Ireland, but won the rest of the matches to emerge as the champions of Group F.
Spain Euro is going to start the proceedings for Group D with the match against Russia at Tivoli-Neu Stadion at Innsbruck on the 10th of June. Their next match will be against Sweden at the same venue on 14th June.
Spain will be playing their last match at the Wals Siezenheim Stadium, Salzburg, against defending champions Greece on the 18th of June. The Spanish supporters will be looking forward to some enchanting performances from their favorite players to bring home the
Euro 2008 title.
