The
Euro Cup 2008 Group D consists of some of the most important teams of the competition. These include defending champions Greece, Russia, Sweden and one of the tournament favorites, Spain. The matches of the Euro Cup 2008 Group D group will be played from 10th of June till the 18th June. The matches will be played at the Tivoli-Neu Stadion of Innsbruck and the Wals Siezenheim Stadium of Salzburg. The schedule of Euro Cup 2008 Group D will commence with a match between Russia and Spain at the Tivoli-Neu Stadion. Greece will play Sweden at the Wals Siezenheim Stadium later on that very day. On 14th June, Greece will play Russia and Spain will compete with Sweden. On the 18th of June, the last matches of Euro 2008 Group D will be played between Sweden and Russia and the other between Spain and Greece.
The winners of Group D will play the runners of Group C in the quarter finals while the Group D runners up will play the winners of Group C. With the defending champions as well as a few major powers of European soccer in the group, Euro 2008 Group D is expected to produce some of the best matches of the tournament.
