Euro 2008- Austria: Austria is participating in Euro 2008, to be held from 7th to 29th of June, 2008, by virtue of being the host country jointly with Switzerland. This is also the first time that Austria has qualified for the final rounds of the European Football Championships.
Being the co-host, Austria will surely try to achieve as much as possible from this Euro Cup. They have been placed in Euro 2008 Group B along with Germany, Poland and Croatia. The head coach of Austria national football team is Josef Hickersberger.

Austria will start the journey of their first Euro Cup on 8th of June against Croatia at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna.
Their next match will be opposite to Poland on 12th of June at the same venue.
They will play their last match at the group stage of the Euro 2008 on 16th of June again at the same venue. Their opponent in this match is going to be three times world champion Germany.
