Mur des Reformateurs in Geneva is a 100 meters wide and 5 meters tall massive wall, which stands along Parc des Bastions. It is located inside the premises of the University in Geneva. The wall was erected towards the beginning of 1909 to commemorate Jean Calvin's 4th centenary birthday. It also marks the 350th anniversary of the Academy of Geneva.
Mur des Reformateurs at Geneva is consecrated to the Reformation Movement. In fact, it is dedicated to Guillaume Farel (a French reformer who is said to have influenced Calvin), John Knox (writer of The History of the Reformation in Scotland), Jean Calvin (a renowned French reformer) and Theodore de Beze (a writer and theologian). One can also come across many figures and texts etched on Mur des Reformateurs. These texts and figures depict the eventful history of Protestantism. The texts on the wall of this Geneva attraction refer to 150 years of Protestantism history.
