Bernisches Historisches Museum was built in 1894 by Andre Lambert, Neuchatel architect. The architecture of the building reflects many historic castles and buildings belonging to the 15th and the 16th centuries. The museum presents a rich collection of prehistoric materials, folk art, decorative pieces and other miscellaneous articles. The Burgundian room of the museum houses a large number of trophies that were won in 1476 during the Battle of Grandson.
