History of Antoniuskirche
The church was established in 1674 and was a part of the monastery at that time. There was a cemetery in the garden area, which has been converted into a parking lot in the present times. The central monastery fell apart during the 19th century and since then the church stands alone. During the time of the disintegration of the monastery, Adrian Burgmer, the Last Francisian, was the pastor.
There is a school on the premises of the church, which was constructed during the year 1967. The church has undergone extensive renovation after the roof was destroyed by fire in the year 1975. During the renovation some tombs were discovered from the ground of the church which dated back to 1953.
