SOUTH KOREA BEAT TOGO 2-1
South Korea defeated Togo 2-1 on Tuesday in the Group G match. It was the team's first World Cup victory away from home.

Ahn Jung-Hwan scored the winning goal of the match in the 72nd minute. Hwan hit the 25-metre shot past Togo goalkeeper Kossi Agassa. With this win, South Korea has three points in its kitty from Group G, which also includes France and Switzerland. Togo scored the first goal of the match in the 31st minute when Mohamed Kader hit a goal from 14 meters. In the 54th minute of the match, Lee Chun-Soo

scored South Korea's equalizer.Togo had almost succeeded in scoring a goal in the first half. The free kick from Yao Junior Senay was saved in the 41st over.

In the second-half, Korea started with good play. South Korean captain Jean-Paul Abalo made a foul in the first half and was sent off in the 53rd minute after he received a second yellow card. This was a crucial moment for both the teams as it was at this juncture that Lee Chun-Soo scored the first goal on resulting free kick of the South Korean side. English referee Graham Poll

gave in total, four yellow cards to South Korea and four to Togo. Togo's Ludovic Assemoassa was injured in the 60th minute and was carried off the field. The South Koreans will face France in Leipzig on Sunday and Togo will face Switzerland in Dortmund on Saturday.
