CROATIA TIE AUSTRALIA 2-2

Australia tied its match with Croatia 2-2 in Stuttgart on Thursday. With this draw match, Australia has advanced to the second round. Australia is two points ahead of Croatia.

Harry Kewell scored the equalizer 10 minutes from full-time. Referee Graham Poll issued red cards to Croatia's Dario Simic and Josip Simunic and Australia's Brett Emerton. Australia goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac made a blunder, giving Croatia, their second goal 13 minutes after halftime.

Darijo Srna scored the first goal for Croatia. It was also Croatia's first goal of the tournament. In the 38th minute, Craig Moore hit a goal and leveled the score. Croatia was shown six yellow cards and Australia was shown two yellow cards.

Australian team demanded a seventh-minute penalty when Josip Simunic fouled Viduka. But Poll did not entertain it.
