Ji Sung Park is one of the most successful players of the South Korean team. Infact, he is one of the most successful Asians in European football. Park made his debut for South Korea in April 2000. He played all seven matches as co-hosts in the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals. The player had a crucial role in South Korea's advance to the semi-finals of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan. In June 2005, Park scored in the match against Kuwait in June 2005. Park has more than 50 caps to his credit.
When Park was 18 years old, he played for Kyoto Purple Sanga. Then he joined PSV Eindhoven in the year 2002. He made two starts and five more substitute appearances in the championship-winning season. He suffered a knee injury but recovered and played in the summer 2003 Peace Cup in his homeland. He had 28 appearances and six goals in his kitty. Till now Park has played five UEFA Champions League group stage games.
He later joined Manchester United FC on a four-year contract. South Korean fans are expecting that he'll shine this FIFA season.
