Johan Djourou currently plays for Arsenal (England) as a defender. Djourou had not played in any of the qualifiers for FIFA World Cup 2006. He joined the Switzerland team later. He got the opportunity to play in just one friendly match against Scotland in March. As far as his tournament experience is concerned, he has played in three matches of Switzerland's campaign during the FIFA World Youth Championship Netherlands 2005. Djourou comes from Cote d'Ivoire. He is a versatile player with the potential to operate well in the midfield as well.
